Rum Stroll Stroll 2025

What do I get with my ticket?
  • Stroll Tickets include a collectible tasting glass, premium rum tastings at 10+ unique Downtown Alameda locations, small bites at some pouring locations, and a commemorative map. As a ticket holder, you also get access to exclusive offers from select downtown businesses and a chance to win some great prizes. (Designated Driver tickets do not include glass or tastings.)
Can I buy tickets at the door?
  • Yes! Please come to the Information Table at  the Alameda Ave Al Fresco Dining Area (near 2324 Alameda Ave) to purchase tickets.
Where do I start?
  • VIP Ticket Holders Only: All VIP guests must check-in Dragon Rouge (2337 Blanding Ave). Only guests with VIP tickets will be able to check in at Dragon Rouge. VIP check-in begins at 4:45pm, the program begins at 5:15pm and ends at 6pm when the general stroll begins.
  • General Admission: Ticket holders must check-in at the Alameda Ave Al Fresco Dining Area (near 2324 Alameda Ave ) between 5:45pm and 7:30pm to receive a wristband, tasting glass, and map. 
​What is the best route?
  • After checking in (either at VIP or our general event ticket area) you are welcome to visit the downtown tasting locations by creating your own route and going at your own pace.
What if I arrive early?
  • General admission check-in at Alameda Avenue doesn’t open until 5:45pm. If you arrive early, we invite you to begin your visit at any of the downtown businesses. We have a fantastic selection of shops and restaurants.
What if I can’t make it to check-in by 7:30pm?
  • Check-in closes at 7:30pm sharp. Please plan accordingly. Because proof of ID is required for all guests, you are not able to check in for a friend.
Is this a fundraiser?
  • Yes. Proceeds from ticket sales support programs that will keep Downtown Alameda clean, green, and safe for all to enjoy. Additionally, $1 from each ticket will be donated to Alameda Education Foundation. There will also be cash tip jars at each pouring station or you can make a donation today by visiting their website.
What's the refund policy?
  • This is a fundraiser for Downtown Alameda. There are no refunds on ticket purchases.
Can a friend pick up my pass for me?
  • No. Each ticket must be redeemed in-person at the designated check-in location for the participant to receive a wristband and tasting glass. All participants must show ID (this is a 21+ event).
Can I transfer my ticket to a friend?
  • If you are transferring your ticket to a friend, be sure to forward them your e-ticket. Keep in mind that each ticket can be redeemed only once.
What are my parking options for the event?
  • The Civic Center Parking Structure is located near Alameda Ave at 1416 Oak Street and within easy walking distance of our check-in location. Parking in the garage is plentiful and at half the cost of nearby meters. After 5pm, parking in the lot is also free. Parking can also be found on nearby streets, or in nearby public lots.
What are the recommended transportation options?
  • The Downtown Alameda Business Association encourages everyone to enjoy the event responsibly. Ride-share options like taxis, Uber and Lyft are terrific resources. Downtown Alameda is also accessible via AC Transit with frequent connections to Fruitvale BART.
Are there any Designated Driver tickets available?
  • We'd like everyone to enjoy the event responsibly. To support this effort we are selling a limited number of designated driver tickets. DD ticket holders get all the benefits of food and entertainment, just no drinks.
What are the bites?
  • Venues are making arrangements for the bites independently. Keep in mind that these are just bites, and only offered at select pouring locations, so consider having a pre-stroll snack or meal at one of our great restaurants before you get started!
Are vegetarian or gluten-free bites available?
  • The venues are making arrangements for the bites independently. 
​My friends don't have tickets, can they still tag along?
  • Guests will have to be ticket holders to enter the pouring locations.
Are kids allowed?
  • This is an event for 21 and older guests with a bar atmosphere. We love your kids, but best to get a babysitter and enjoy the evening out! 
Are dogs allowed? 
  • Most of the venues do not allow dogs inside their businesses. As much as we love dogs, it’s best to leave them home. 
What if it rains, is the event canceled?
  • The event will be held 'rain or shine.' Tastings are done both indoors and outdoors.
